Role Description –Engineer/SR. Eng. Level-2 Lync support function This role is applicable for the job L2 engineer for Lync support function. To escalate to Suppliers or coordinate with L3 teams as and when required 2 Overview The Support Engineer Level 2 Base role will handle L2 support requests for customer via L1 team. The Engineer needs to have a very broad spectrum and knowledge of Microsoft UC platform (Lync) and supporting infrastructure such as AD, DNS, SQL etc with integration to IP telephony. 2.1 Activities The activities related to this role will be provided and clarified during the KT. 3 Prerequisites to Execute Role Microsoft AD knowledge Microsoft SQL knowledge Microsoft PKI and DNS knowledge Microsoft DFS knowledge Networking knowledge Server & Storage knowledge Client (Window 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista) knowledge Server Platform Knowledge (Windows Server 2012, 2008 R2) Lync Server 2010 Lync Server 2013 Basic firewall/security knowledge 4 Requirements 4.1 Competence Human Competence: Excellent level of creativeness and pro-activeness. Excellent analytical skills, business oriented. Administratively structured, systematic and accurate Able to work under high pressure. High level of social skill and teamwork oriented. Able to work with many tasks simultaneously and keep track. Able to understand and work in a process oriented workflow Excellent command of written and spoken English. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Technical Competence: Expert/Good knowledge in integration of MS-Lync Server with VOIP PBXs. At least 4-6 years of Hands-on experience on Lync 2010/13 application. Working experience on VOIP PBX will be added advantage. Candidate should have worked on complex environment for Lync operations. Candidate should have strong competence on Window server ,AD,SQL & DNS. Candidate should have B.E.
