Description The role for their Aero Services Centre of Excellence guides the assigned business areas in accordance with the purpose and organization values.Aero services CoE of Honeywell Aerospace caters to data subscription and flight support services needs of Honeywell Aerospace. Partners with internal /external stakeholders taking responsibility and accountability for execution excellence. Ensures productivity enhancement through engaged and high performing teams in a globally distributed work environment. Selects, Nurtures, Coaches team members and promotes a culture of customer centricity, innovation and continuous improvement in people, technical and organizational capability development.Position Responsibilities: Growth: ? Aero services revenue to grow at 20% CAGR ? Drive the current projects at cost and on schedule ? Identify new opportunities to generate additional revenue Operations support 24X7 ? Create business systems to deliver the services with rich experience to the customers? Establish maintenance operations centre ? Using the data collected from the aircraft, operators need to help the customers with their maintenance problems. ? Establish the infrastructure and qualified people to man this centre 24X7 ? Software factory for Aero services ? Continue to work with global leaders to identify the differentiated skills that are required and meet the business demands? Be an integral part of the connected aircraft strategy team to support the implementation of the same. ? The areas of focus are: o Engineering, operations o Marketing, advance technology, o customer and product support ? Data subscription services : Navigation databases, Terrain databases, Data driven charts, Airport moving maps? Flight planning services : Flight planning, messaging, weather, international trip support, flight tracking ? Business systems: Subscription, invoicing, delivery of services, management information service reports ? Work with marketing teams to align with the service roadmaps. ? Work with User experience teams to deliver world class web and mobile service delivery platforms.? Take decisions to partner with outside firms to deliver the applicationsin faster cycle times ? Work with global leaders to align with the strategic needs ofbusiness ? Develop&implement a coherent strategy at HTS working closely with partners in Aero.Strongly influence the strategies around execution, growth, value addition, design ownership, infrastructure, processes, technology, competency building / acquisition and impact their implementation / operationalization. ? Responsible for deliverables on global programs as per the goals / metrics flown down from Aero and HTS (like on-timedelivery / milestone fidelity, schedule / cost performance,yield,fill-rate, yield,productivity / effectiveness initiatives, retention, innovation etc.) with effective delegation of responsibility to respective leaders.? Instrumental in driving core capability development relating to services, products, technologies, Avionics/Aero systems competency, domain, program management and leadership skills as needed. ? Actively involved with global partners in seeking proactive feedbacks for improvements from VPs, Engineering Directors, Technical Managers, Chiefs and other business stakeholders to ensure customer delight, meet the product globalization plan and meet product / program commitments.? Taking complete ownership in resolving all issues / escalations in consultation with senior management and Partners. ? Work closely with aero regional business organization to identify, support and develop the local opportunities, pursuits and products to support the Honeywell business growth in the region.Business Expansion / Connect Continue Focus Increase Focus ? Developing engagement roadmap for different HTS India locations&driving adherence ? Responsible for providing deep dive focus on different programs in COE. ? Responsible for ensuring sustained capability development through adherence to CMMi Level 5 practices. ? Drive team operation excellence using enablers including VPD, IEP, IPDS, HOS, CMMi etc. Leading continuous improvement efforts through the institutionalization of HOS and VPD practices.? Developing engagement roadmap for different HTS India COEs, locations&driving adherence ? Establishing benchmarks on cycle time performance&demonstrating year on year improvements in productivity. ? Responsible for Business unit level planning and strategy, Business development, budgetary planning, resource management ? Drawing roadmaps for driving technology development for next generation solutions. ? Participating in the organization building practices such as framing of organizational policies, strategic priorities and future directions of HTS.? Responsible for projection / utilization of capital assets / infrastructure and for the efficient maintenance, management and utilization of labs. ? Is accountable for productivity improvements through effective management ofSQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery , Cost, People) in delivering products and impacts net earnings or net profitability of the assigned area of business? Forecasts, plans and manages budgets&positive cash flow with minimum supervision to a large extent with guidance of the reporting personnel as necessary ? Ensures Productivity in Operational Efficiency (OEF)/Functional Transformation, Velocity Product Development /and SBG initiatives ? Is accountable for ensuring effective Inventory management in terms of CAPEX , OPEX and optimal utilization of resources? Proven leadership quality and experience for leading a large engineering organization? Strong knowledge/background in avionics product and system development and management and the aerospace electronics system or related area in particular. ? Has managed large multi disciplinary programs involving global teams ?
